Who we are
These tools are used by Rooftop Hostel Dakhla (Dakhla, Morocco) to run its own bookings. They are operated only by the hostel's staff, and no one else signs in to them.
What the tools access
When the hostel's owner signs in with a Google account, the tools may access:
- Gmail: the hostel mailbox, to read booking confirmation, change and cancellation emails from Booking.com, Hostelworld, Agoda and Airbnb.
- Google Sheets: the hostel's booking and sales spreadsheets, to store and update bookings, guests and sales records.
- Google Calendar: to create and update booking events and room-occupancy events.
- Google Contacts: to save a guest's name, phone number and email address as a contact in the hostel's own account.
- Google Forms: the hostel's booking and contact-update forms.
- Your Google account email address: to identify the account that is signed in.
What data this involves
Guest details found in bookings: name, phone number, email address, stay dates, room and amount due.
How we use it
Only to run the hostel: recording bookings, keeping room availability up to date, creating guest records and contacts, and matching sales to stays. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
Sharing
We do not share Google user data with anyone. The only other service that receives guest names and contact details is the hostel's point-of-sale system (Loyverse), so that a guest's purchases can be matched to their stay.
Storage and retention
Data is stored in the hostel's own Google Sheets, Calendar and Contacts. We keep it for as long as the hostel needs it for its accounts and operations. A guest can ask us to correct or delete their record at any time.
Google API Services User Data Policy
The tools' use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
